Finding Support

It was important for me in early recovery to find other women who could relate to me and understand my issues. I knew that I had issues with male-to-female relationships since I was very young. They were easy to make, but never with any good boundaries. If I was going to recover and ever have any healthy relationships support was a necessity!! I was able to go online and find some good information at http://www.slaafws.org/. I knew that I wanted to have some boundaries, but had to understand the issue first.

It finally came to me...I was the problem....wow!!! That was such a revalation. I always played the victim in my head and thought that I just always met men who were predators. (Not true!!) My "picker" with men was just broken. Then, more recently, I heard of a new recovery program that helps sexual abuse survivors, sex trafficking survivors, and sex industry survivors. I went online and found Voices For Justice (http://www.vfjnw.org/) and The Silverbraid (http://www.thesilverbraid.org/). That is when I knew that I had found the purpose for my life. I am to help spread the word that here is hope and that recovery is possible!!!!!!
